To Whom It May Concern:

As members of United Steelworkers Local 1998, we represent 5,000 administrative staff members at the University of Toronto. Our members are engaged in a wide variety of endeavors and are strong supporters of the arts and cultural communities in our city. In fact, our membership even includes two theatre critics whose articles, reviews and radio broadcasts reach many Canadians who are regular theatre goers.

It is with deep concern that we have learned that your organization has chosen not to negotiate a working agreement with the Canadian Actors Equity Association, the Toronto Musicians Association and with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.

Be assured that our members will be fully informed of this situation and will be encouraged to join the international boycott of your organization which is gaining increasing visibility in the city of Toronto and throughout the country.

Sincerely,

Allison Dubarry
