Dear Susan,
On behalf of the Délégation Générale
of the Syndicat Français des Artistes-interprètes,
representing actors, dancers, and visual performers in France,
I'd like to express our full support, and that of the French
theatrical community, in your struggle to negotiate reasonable
union contracts with the Blue Man Group.
It's truly a disgrace that an international hit like this
production refuses to enter into the collective bargaining
process with Equity, the musicians' union, and the technicians'
union.
We'll try to monitor any possible activity in Paris, and wish
to thank Canadian performers for taking a stand on this. Your
actions further the cause of performers the world over.
